These terms and conditions apply to all hair and makeup services provided by Nereeda Jean Makeup. ABN 61 958 433 096
Upon making a booking with Nereeda Jean Makeup, you agree to the following terms & conditions.
DEPOSIT POLICY - WEDDINGS
A 40% non-refundable deposit of the total quote amount is required for every bridal party. Wedding dates will not be held under any circumstances without this non-refundable and non-transferable deposit, which will be deducted from your total invoice.
This deposit serves as your booking retainer, meaning we will turn away other jobs during your appointment time. If the booking is downsized after confirmation, you will be charged the original quoted price to cover the loss of other bridal parties we turned away for the same date.
Please confirm the minimum number of hair and makeup services at the time of securing your deposit. You are welcome to add more people or services later if it is feasible for the artist or if another stylist can be arranged.
DEPOSIT POLICY - EVENT/FORMAL/OTHER
To secure your booking, a 30% deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable. If cancellation is made more than 30 days before the event date, you will receive a credit for the amount paid which can be used for a future booking.
PAYMENT
Payments made by bank transfer are to be completed at least 7 days before your wedding/booking date, to ensure that the funds are cleared before we begin.
REFUNDS
Nereeda Jean Makeup does not offer refunds for any completed services at any stage. If you are in any way dissatisfied, the onus is on the client to notify Nereeda/the artist whilst on location.
PARKING
For on-site services, we kindly ask that you arrange parking for our stylists, as they carry heavy professional kits and equipment. Please provide the closest available parking facility, and reimburse any parking fees directly to the stylists. If the booking is at a hotel, parking and valet fees will be charged to the room and will be the client's responsibility.
TRAVEL FEE
Nereeda Jean Makeup will confirm your total travel cost upon booking confirmation. Travel and toll fees may apply based on the return travel distance required. The amount will be specified in the quotation and is determined by the location provided at the time of your inquiry. If the service location changes after the quotation is given and/or the deposit is paid, the artist reserves the right to adjust the travel fee if the distance increases.
CANCELLATION
In the unfortunate event that you cancel your wedding, please note that all payments made are strictly non-refundable. You are responsible for informing all parties involved of our rates and terms of service. We still need to compensate our stylist(s) for any booked time slots, even if they are unused. Consequently, we cannot offer any refunds if you cancel all or part of your booking. Once we book your hair or makeup service, we are unable to accept other clients, which may result in lost business. This policy also applies to cancellations due to personal relationships or financial issues. If someone in your wedding or group booking cancels, they may be replaced with another guest. However, you will be charged the full amount for the service, as the booking time has been specifically reserved for you, leading to potential lost earnings. Any cancellation must be communicated in writing via email and will only be confirmed upon receipt. The full deposit will be retained to cover administrative costs and lost bookings due to your reserved appointment.
TIMING
If you require us to stay beyond the estimated completion time for reasons beyond our control—such as a late-arriving guest or a photographer needing extra time for photos—we can only do so if our schedule allows. In such cases, we will charge our touch-up rate of $40 per 15 minutes per stylist.
If unforeseen delays occur that are beyond our control, refunds will not be provided for any forfeited services, and no compensation will be offered if we run over the allotted time. If you are aware of any factors that could delay or hinder our journey, such as diversions, road closures, or other issues, please inform us as soon as possible so we can adjust our route accordingly. We cannot offer refunds or compensation for delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party. A minimum of 60 minutes will be allocated for each person’s hair or makeup application. If you anticipate that any member of your bridal party may present a challenge, we strongly recommend they schedule a trial to prevent potential delays on the day.
TRIALS
Trials are not mandatory but are highly recommended. Without a trial, we cannot be held responsible if a chosen style or look does not meet your expectations on the wedding day, or if there is a mismatch in styles, approach, or expectations. In such cases, refunds will not be provided. Clients must pay a deposit for the trial via direct deposit when securing the trial date. Each trial includes one complete makeup look or one hair look, with the option to make adjustments. We allocate 1.5 hours per service trialled. Please provide any feedback before the end of your trial, so your stylist can address any concerns and ensure your complete satisfaction for the big day. Additional trials will incur the same fee.
UNABLE TO ATTEND BOOKING
In the very unlikely event that Nereeda Jean Makeup or the assigned artist is unable to attend the scheduled appointment due to injury or illness, we will make every effort to find a replacement artist of a similar calibre. In this situation, the booking fee will either be refunded or transferred to the new artist. However, our liability is limited to a full refund of all payments made for hair and/or makeup services for the affected date only.
LIMITATION ON LIABILITY
Nereeda Jean Makeup is not responsible for any reactions to makeup products. The client agrees to hold the artist harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or injuries to any person or property resulting directly or indirectly from the artist's services. All brushes, tools, and makeup products are thoroughly sanitized between each application. Clients must inform the makeup artist of any allergies or skin conditions before application. If necessary, a patch test can be performed to check for reactions. We accept no liability for any claims related to misuse, allergic reactions, or injuries resulting from the use of our products and equipment. By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept this policy and release us from any liability in such situations. The client understands that payment of the booking deposit signifies legal agreement to these terms.
HEALTH AND HYGIENE
If you or any member of your bridal party is experiencing a contagious illness—including, but not limited to, conjunctivitis, eye styes or cysts, cold sores, open wounds or cuts on the face or neck, staph infections, head lice, the flu, or any other contagious condition—it is imperative that you inform us immediately. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone with an infectious condition to prevent contamination of our kits and brushes, even though all items are thoroughly sanitized between clients. It is also essential to disclose any skin sensitivities, active herpes (cold sores), or general allergies for yourself and others receiving services. By proceeding, you agree that we are not liable for, and you will indemnify us against, any claims, liabilities, costs, losses, or causes of action related to personal injury or death arising directly or indirectly from your failure to disclose relevant medical or other conditions. Nereeda Jean Makeup reserves the right to refuse service to anyone presenting with a contagious disease, virus, or transmissible infection or condition as mentioned above.
You acknowledge that the services provided involve the application of skin products directly to your face and body. Therefore, you agree to disclose any and all medical or other conditions known to you that a reasonable person would disclose, including but not limited to viruses such as COVID-19, SARS, Herpes, Hepatitis, and other similar diseases.
CLIENT OBLIGATIONS - DAY OF THE BOOKING
Please ensure that every member of your party is aware of the schedule and remains available at the designated times. Cooperation on the day of the booking is essential, which includes being ready at the scheduled time for hair and makeup and refraining from eating or using mobile phones during makeup application. This will help us stay on schedule and avoid delays.
Follow all instructions provided before the booking, such as washing and drying your hair straight the night before.
Ensure that our team has a suitable working environment with adequate lighting (natural light near a window is ideal), access to electricity points, hand washing facilities, and a large high table for our products.
Inform us of any allergies or reactions before or after any makeup application or hair styling. If no known allergies are disclosed, we cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damages, costs, claims, or actions that may occur to you or any other member of your party.
Make sure you and your party are prepared before sitting in the chair to avoid interruptions while we work. This includes brushing teeth, using the restroom, and applying contact lenses (if applicable) beforehand. Please arrive makeup-free.
For safety reasons, do not hold children or babies on your lap while having your hair styled or makeup applied. Ensure that children are kept away from our styling tools and products at all times, as styling irons are extremely hot and hazardous. We will not be held responsible for any injuries to children resulting from a lack of supervision.
A $50 additional blowout fee will be charged to anyone who arrives with wet hair on the day. This will also affect the timeline, as extra time will be needed to blow-dry the hair.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Clients acknowledge that Nereeda Jean Makeup may use any photographs or images taken for portfolio, website and any promotions. The client is to notify if they wish for their images not to be used.
The client understands that once they pay the booking fee, they are legally bound by this document.
